Garlic Biscuits

All over my Facebook are feeds about people using biscuits in all sorts of ways.

So I decided to try and this is what I came up with. I accidentally bought honey biscuits. They are actually awesome. Yay me! Phew…

  • 1 small lasagna pan
  • Spray butter
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Bowl and spoon for mixing
  • Oven mitts

  • 1 package of honey biscuits (I used grands) yup I accidentally bought them 😀 (cut each biscuit into quarters)
  • 1 large garlic clove (peel and dice small)
  • 1 stick of butter melted
  • Dried oregano
  • 1 cup or more of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Spray butter (pam)

Preheat oven to 350°, spray your pan with butter, set aside.

In your bowl add your garlic.

Then butter.

Then biscuits and oregano. Add enough oregano so each biscuit has some, about 2 tablespoons. Stir till all biscuits are coated.

Place them in your lasagna pan spread evenly.

Bake till golden brown about 20 minutes.

Generously cover with cheese and place back in oven, bake till cheese is melted. Remove from oven and enjoy.

Serve warm.

Next time I will add diced onions and cheese throughout. Then more cheese once browned then marinara sauce for dipping.. Mmmmmm.. 🙂

Easy Baked Tacos

This is one other food I made for the Superbowl. Tacos are very messy to serve so I tried this. Actually worked out great.

Taco bell makes these flat bottom corn shells, you can get them at your grocery store. Best thing ever!

Fill these will your favorite fillings toss in the oven. Yay! Not so messy tacos! Serve with sour cream. Perfect..

Preheat oven to 350°

Line a lasagna pan with tinfoil for easy clean up.

Place your shells in the pan. You get 10 in one package. Set aside.

  • Fry pan and spoon
  • Large pot to cook rice
  • Cutting board and knife

  • 1 pound package of ground beef (cooked through with no pink and chopped small) salt and pepper your meat to taste
  • 1 package of flavored rice (my son is a huge chicken rice fan, I used that)
  • 2 cups of mexican blend cheese
  • 1 can of corn
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • Hot sauce
  • 1/4 onion diced
  • Sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

    Ham and Cheese Roll Up

This was a quick lunch I made the other day. Perfect little roll ups for a party, quick lunch or on the go.

I made 2 kinds, the first with ham and cheese the other pulled bbq pork I had left over from dinner.

    • Cookie sheet
    • Oven mitts

    • 1 refrigerated can of crescent rolls
    • Sliced deli ham
    • Sliced deli cheese

    Preheat oven to 350°

Open your crescent roll and divide using the manufacturer guide.

Layer 1 slice of ham and 1/2 slice of cheese, roll starting from the bottom of the triangle (the widest point).

Set on your baking sheet. Roll each one in the same manner.

Bake until golden brown. Serve warm.

You can make all kinds. Add onions, turkey, eggs, bacon, diced cooked sausage, pepperoni even bbq. It will definitely be a crowd pleaser and easy to eat.

Bbq pulled pork, these are my favorite. 😀

    Smoked Provolone and Turkey Pinwheels

With the holidays just around the corner these will be a great addition to your favorite appetizer menu, they can be brought to your next get together or party any time of the year. You can plan ahead the night before, just cover and place them in the refrigerator until your ready to put them in the oven.

Served warm this hearty pinwheel can even be served as a lunch or dinner complimented with a side. Layers of smoked provolone cheese, turkey, fresh tomato and green onions with a poppy seed sauce are the perfect ingredients to please everyone.

    • 1 large cookie sheet
    • Cutting board and knife
    • Rolling pin
    • 1 sauce pan and spoon
    • Spatula
    • Oven mitt
    • Serving platter

    • 1 – 16 oz package of fresh pizza dough rolled to the size of a rectagle
    • 1 large ripe tomato crisp sliced thin
    • About 8 stalks of green onions sliced thin
    • 1/2 pound of deli meat, smoked honey turkey breast sliced thin
    • 12 slices of smoked provolone cheese
    • Flour for dusting
    • 1 stick of butter
    • 2 tablespoons of honey mustard
    • 3 heaping tablespoons of brown sugar
    • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
    • 2 tablespoons of poppy seeds
    • Spray butter (pam)
    • 1 egg, beat into a bowl (this is your egg wash)

Preheat oven to 350°. Spray the butter on the cookie sheet.

Using your cutting board and knife carefully slice your vegetables thin, this makes your rolling easier.

Dust your rolling pin and counter with flour and roll your pizza dough till you get a large size rectangle. About the same size as your cookie sheet.

Next layer your turkey, cheese, tomatoe and onions. Start from one end and as tightly as you can begin rolling your dough. Once you have reached the end use a little egg wash under the dough so it will to stick together. Dust the roll with flour to keep it from sticking to your hands while cutting.

Now carefully slice you roll into 1 inch sections. Place on your prepped cookie sheet.

In your sauce pan combine your butter, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar and poppy seeds. Cook on low till butter is melted and sugar has disolved. Stirring constantly you don’t want the sugar to burn.

Drizzle your sauce over your pinwheels, use all. Bake in the oven till golden brown, about 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet to your serving platter. Serve warm.

    Serves about 12.

    Garlic Knots

Garlic knots, they honestly speak for themselves. How can anyone resist fluffy white dough, baked golden brown, soaked in sweet butter with garlic and then topped with fresh grated parmesan cheese. These knots are absolutely devine, so easy to make, you can’t eat just one. They will be the hit of any party so be sure to make plenty.

    • Baking sheet
    • Rolling pin
    • Butter knife for slicing dough
    • Sauce pan and spoon for stirring
    • Oven mitt
    • Serving platter

    • 16 ounces of fresh Italian pizza dough
    • 1 stick of butter
    • 1/4 cup of minced garlic
    • 1/4 cup of grated fresh parmesan cheese
    • Spray butter (pam)
    • 1/4 cup of flour for rolling your dough

Preheat your oven 350°. Spray your baking sheet with your spray butter.

Dust your clean counter top and rolling pin with flour, next roll your dough to about the size of a medium pizza.

Next slice your dough in 1/4 inch slices and about 5 inches long. When you tie your dough it will strech a little so you can get a full knot.

Now tie each strip of dough into a single knot. They don’t need to be perfect. You should get about 20 knots. It depends on how far you rolled your dough, next place them in your baking sheet. Bake for about 20 minutes or golden brown. Do not over cook. In your sauce pan combine your butter and minced garlic. Heat on low till melted, stirring constantly.

Once your knots are golden brown place them on a serving platter. Drizzle your butter and garlic over top then garnish with cheese.

    Serves about 20
