Garlic Biscuits

All over my Facebook are feeds about people using biscuits in all sorts of ways.

So I decided to try and this is what I came up with. I accidentally bought honey biscuits. They are actually awesome. Yay me! Phew…

  • 1 small lasagna pan
  • Spray butter
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Bowl and spoon for mixing
  • Oven mitts

  • 1 package of honey biscuits (I used grands) yup I accidentally bought them 😀 (cut each biscuit into quarters)
  • 1 large garlic clove (peel and dice small)
  • 1 stick of butter melted
  • Dried oregano
  • 1 cup or more of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Spray butter (pam)

Preheat oven to 350°, spray your pan with butter, set aside.

In your bowl add your garlic.

Then butter.

Then biscuits and oregano. Add enough oregano so each biscuit has some, about 2 tablespoons. Stir till all biscuits are coated.

Place them in your lasagna pan spread evenly.

Bake till golden brown about 20 minutes.

Generously cover with cheese and place back in oven, bake till cheese is melted. Remove from oven and enjoy.

Serve warm.

Next time I will add diced onions and cheese throughout. Then more cheese once browned then marinara sauce for dipping.. Mmmmmm.. 🙂

Applesauce Banna Bread

If you love bananas and applesauce you will love this super moist sweet bread.

Perfect with a cup of coffee in the morning or afternoon tea. This bread is easy to make and so delicious.

  • 2 small bread loaf pans or 1 large, I used a large.
  • Cutting board and knife
  • Oven mitts
  • Mixing bowl, spoon and whisk
  • Measuring cup
  • Measuring spoons
  • Serving dish

  • 1 banana, peal and slice then cut into quarters, set aside
  • 1 – 1/2 cup of applesauce
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 stick of butter softened
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 – 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of nutmeg
  • 1 – 1/2 cups of flour
  • Spray butter (pam)

For the glaze:

  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup of apple sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla

Preheat oven to 350°, Spray your desired baking pan with butter, set aside

Do not use an electric mixer.

To make your bread:

In your mixing bowl combine your egg, vanilla, butter, sugar and salt. Combine well.

Next add your flour, baking soda, nutmeg and cinnamon. Stir till combined.

Should look like this.

Now add your applesauce and stir very well.

Now gently fold in your bananas, do not over work.

Pour your batter into your baking dishes.

Place in the oven, bake for about 1 hour for a large bread loaf pan. When you push a butter knife through the bread it should pull out clean and spring back to the touch.

Remove from oven and allow to cool for about 40 minutes.

While cooling lets make your glaze.

In a mixing bowl add your powdered sugar, vanilla and applesauce. Whisk till combined very well.

Carefully remove your bread from your pan and place on a serving dish.

Pour your glaze over your bread.

Slice and enjoy warm or room temperature.
